Dhaka to screen Iranian short film ‘Majan’

Iranian short flick ‘Majan’ has made its way to the Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) in Bangladesh.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported on Thursday that ‘Majan’ will be screened at the 20th edition of the DIFF.

Directed by Fardin Ansari, the film is about Sajjad who has to write an essay about a trip to Iran’s holy city of Mashhad that he has never made, in order to win a competition in his school.

‘Majan’ is co-written by the director and Atta Dehqani.

The film’s cast members include Iman Nazifi and Amir-Mohammad Farahmand.

The Dhaka International Film Festival is one of the most prestigious film events in Bangladesh.

The 20th edition of the DIFF will take place on January 15-23.
